Twirling Owen takes them from flagfall to finish in Its Binn Too Long Stakes
Twirling Owen launched her 3-year-old season Friday night by wiring the field in the $50,000 Its Binn Too Long at Charles Town.
She won the Its Binn Too Long, a four and a half-furlong stakes for 3-year-old fillies bred in West Virginia, by a length and three-quarters over Manarola, while it was another three and a quarter lengths back in third to favorite Boundtobebad.

Twirling Owen ($10) was making her first start since a November allowance win at Charles Town. She took the field through an opening quarter in 21.84 seconds before going on to win on a fast track in 52.35.
J.D. Acosta was aboard for trainer Anthony Farrior.
Twirling Owen is a daughter of Twirling Candy who races for her breeder, James Miller. She earned $30,690 on Friday to improve her career record to 4 for 8 for earnings of $107,975.
Twirling Owen was winning her second stakes race. Her first stakes win came last September at Charles Town in the Rachel’s Turn.
