Twilight Vision wins Jersey Village

Twilight Vision and his entrymate, Oncearoundtwice, swept the first two places in the $40,000 Jersey Village at Sam Houston Race Park on Saturday night and paid $11.20.

Twilight Vision led throughout for a neck win in the mile and a sixteenth turf race for statebreds, setting fractions of 25.88 seconds for the opening quarter and 52.61 seconds for the half-mile mark. He covered the distance over firm turf in 1:49.17. Oncearoundtwice was second, a length and a quarter clear of third-place finisher and favorite Goosey Moose.

Adrian Ramos rode Twilight Vision for Evelyn Bean and trainer John Locke. Twilight Vision earned $24,000 for his first stakes win, and overall has a record of five wins in 16 starts and earnings of $75,740.

The Jersey Village was restricted to horses bred in Texas.
