Tweebster and Sinai, the winners of an optional claimer and a maiden race for trainer Bob Baffert on Saturday at Hollywood Park, are bound for stakes in early January at Santa Anita. Tweebster stretched his winning streak to three races with a victory in a race over 1 1/16 miles by 3 3/4 lengths. Baffert said that Tweebster will be pointed for the $150,000 San Fernando Stakes over 1 1/16 miles for 4-year-olds on Jan. 15. Owned by Kaleem Shah, Tweebster, 3, lost his first seven starts, a span that included six second- and third-place finishes. “He’s filling out now,” “Baffert said. “He’s always been immature.” Sinai won his debut in a maiden race for 2-year-olds over 6 1/2 furlongs, outfinishing Arousal by two lengths after a stretch-long duel. Sinai, who races for Zayat Stables, was timed in 1:16.97. Baffert said the $70,000 San Pedro Stakes for 3-yeear-olds over 6 1/2 furlongs on Jan. 17 is a possibility. “The way he ran yesterday was pretty promising,” Baffert said on Sunday. “He ran like a professional. You could see him pop back up in the San Pedro. He’s was pretty ready.” Baffert’s top horse at the 2008-09 Santa Anita winter-spring meeting was Misremembered, who won the $750,000 Santa Anita Handicap. Misremembered has not started since that March race because of an injury suffered earlier this year. Baffert expects Misremembered to start at the forthcoming Santa Anita meeting. “He’s back in training,” Baffert said. “He’ll work as soon as the track dries out, as soon as the Pineapple Express is gone. I’m going crazy.”
