TVG will be simulcast on MSG channels
TVG, the only dedicated horse racing channel in the United States, will be simulcast on MSG or its sister channel, MSG+, for five days a week beginning on July 14, the two companies announced on Tuesday.
TVG’s “Trackside Live” will air on MSG or MSG+ from 12:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. from Wednesday through Sunday, the companies said, under a “multiyear agreement.” Also under the agreement, MSG will air a betting show, “More Ways to Win,” that is produced by TVG’s parent company, FanDuel, during the NFL season.

The agreement was announced one month after officials at the New York Racing Association acknowledged that MSG Networks would no longer broadcast the association’s simulcast programs. MSG had worked with NYRA for 30 years.
Broadcast networks have increasingly taken an interest in racing recently due to the widespread growth of gambling nationwide, the emergence of legal sports wagering in many states over the past five years, and the value of live sports programming.
Earlier this year, Fox Sports extended its broadcast deal with NYRA until 2030 while purchasing a 25 percent stake in the association’s account-wagering company. During the pandemic, NBC Sports routinely simulcast TVG’s coverage throughout the week, during a time when many sports had shut down.
MSG is available on broadcast systems throughout New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Its main sports programming focuses on teams in the New York area.
