TVG has record handle for quarter

Television Games Network, the 24-hour wagering and broadcast station, had record handle of $61 million in the second quarter of 2003, the company announced Tuesday.

The handle total was the highest recorded in any quarter by the network, which reaches 16 million households via cable and satellite. TVG also had a record one-day handle of $4 million on May 3, the day of the Kentucky Derby, the company said.

Handle was up 27 percent compared to the second quarter of 2002.
