Tut's Revenge looks tough in allowance feature

Tut’s Revenge, who has won seven races since last June, heads a strong Friday feature at Lone Star Park. The two-other-than allowance at a mile on turf carries an optional claiming price of $40,000.
Tut’s Revenge enters off a win over five furlongs on turf April 2 at Sam Houston. He’s a multiple winner at two turns on the grass. Ry Eikleberry has the mount from post 2 for Claim to Fame Stable and trainer Clinton Stuart.
Sunlit Song, who is coming off a win in the $100,000 Richard King for Texas-breds at Sam Houston, also will get good support in the field of 10.
Broberg wins Delta title
Trainer Karl Broberg won his 10th consecutive Delta Downs training title at the meet that closed April 16. He won 91 races, while Scott Gelner was the meet’s second-leading trainer with 30 wins.

Jockey Tim Thornton won his third consecutive Delta title with 122 wins, five of which came on the closing-day card. The second-leading rider was Diego Saenz with 73 wins. The leading owner was the End Zone Athletics stable of Broberg and Matt Johansen. The outfit won its sixth straight Delta title with 64 wins – surpassing their own season record of 50 set in 2018-19.
Delta opens its Quarter Horse meet May 10.
◗Sleepy Eyes Todd was one of 27 nominees for the $75,000 Bosselman Pump and Pantry/Gus Fonner Stakes to be run Saturday at Fonner Park. He won last year’s race, which highlights the meet.
