Turfway reschedules stakes

Turfway Park officials announced Tuesday that the $50,000 Likely Exchange Stakes will be made up Saturday after originally being slated for last weekend, when both the Saturday and Sunday cards were canceled because of weather conditions. The $50,000 Dust Commander Stakes also will be run Saturday.

Turfway had announced Monday that the Likely Exchange would not be made up but ultimately was reversed.

"The decision came down to good customer service," said Bob Elliston, president of the Florence, Ky., track. "The horsemen are our customers."

Both the Likely Exchange and Dust Commander will be run at a mile on Polytrack.
