Turf race among keys to Friday's Rainbow 6

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Friday’s Rainbow 6 sequence begins with the fourth event on the nine-race program and consists of four main-track races plus a pair scheduled for the turf, including a one-mile starter optional claimer that drew a quality field of eight (plus main-track-only entrant Concealedwithakiss). The lineup includes several stakes-tested fillies and is led by King’s Ghost, Temple Fur, and Royal Jewely.
King’s Ghost is coming off a fifth place finish in the Christmas Past Stakes on May 27, when she joined the leaders in early stretch before weakening through the final furlong. King’s Ghost was purchased privately by Miller Racing and turned over to trainer Marty Wolfson after defeating optional-claiming competition at Fair Grounds on March 18 in her seasonal debut.

Temple Fur finished several lengths in front of King’s Ghost in the Powder Break Stakes on April 29. A stretch-running daughter of Temple City, Temple Fur also captured her 2017 debut, rallying from near the rear of the field to a one-length victory in a starter-allowance stakes in February.
Royal Jewely returns to the grass after being outrun in the seven-furlong Musical Romance over the main track. She finished two lengths behind Temple Fur in third in their only previous encounter. Royal Jewely remains winless since capturing the Winter Melody Stakes at Delaware Park last summer.
Vendita also figures to show up on many Rainbow 6 tickets. She had a four-race victory streak snapped in her last start four weeks ago against high-level optional-claiming rivals.
