Turf Paradise raises purses to high point

Turf Paradise will begin its 2007-2008 season with its largest purse raise and highest purse structure in the track's 52-year history, the track announced Wednesday.

The 156-day meet, which is scheduled to begin Oct. 5, 2007 and run through May 4, 2008, will see a purse hike of approximately 12 percent, taking average daily purses from $89,000 to approximately $100,000. Live racing will be conducted five days a week, primarily Friday through Tuesday, with first post at 12:30 p.m.

Full-card simulcasting is available seven days a week, beginning at 9 a.m.
