Tryinmyheartout runs away with Spotted Horse

Tryinmyheartout made a sweeping move to the lead on the final turn en route to a 5 1/2-length victory over comebacking favorite Crypto Mo in Friday night’s $60,000 Spotted Horse at Evangeline Downs.

It was another 5 1/2 lengths back in third to Perfect Wish.

The Spotted Horse for fillies and mares at a mile was one of two stakes on the opening night card. Guitar Solo ($4.40) captured the $60,000 Acadiana for 3-year-old fillies.

Tryinmyheartout ($5.60) trailed the field early as Crypto Mo set pressured fractions of 23.82 for the opening quarter and 47.94 for the half-mile on a track rated fast. Tryinmyheartout circled the field on the final turn, took the lead through six furlongs in 1:13.18, and increased her advantage to the wire while covering the distance in 1:39.57.

Jose Guerrero was aboard for trainer Shane Wilson.

Crypto Mo was making her first start since winning the Grade 3 Iowa Oaks last July at Prairie Meadows.

Tryinmyheartout is a daughter of Into Mischief who races for Brittlyn Stable. She was winning the first stakes race of her career and with the victory improved her career record to 4 for 15 for earnings of $211,950.

Guitar Solo led throughout for a one-length win over Fibber. She covered six furlongs in 1:11.92. Devin Magnon was aboard the daughter of Star Guitar for her breeder, World War IV Racing, and trainer Allen Landry. She is now 3 for 5 for earnings of $133,800.
