Trouble Kid takes fourth straight in Valley Forge

Joe DeVivo|Oct 17, 2015
Trouble Kid 10-17-2015
Barbara Weidl/Equi-Photo The 3-year-old Trouble Kid, ridden by Joshua Navarro, improves to 4 for 4 since he was claimed in July by winning the Valley Forge.

Trouble Kid, claimed for $15,000 out of a maiden race in early July, extended his winning streak to four races with a 3 1/4-length score in under jockey Joshua Navarro in Saturday’s $150,000 Valley Forge Stakes at Parx Racing.

The 3-year-old Trouble Kid, sent off as the 9-5 second choice in a field of five sprinters, had upset the Grade 3 Gallant Bob at 13-1 in his previous start. He is 4 for 4 since moving into the barn of Ramon Preciado for owner Barbara Hopkins.

The Preciado-trained Jake N Ellwood had to settle for second as the 3-5 favorite. He finished 2 1/2 lengths ahead of Res Judicata.

The winning time for six furlongs on a fast track was 1:13.90.
