Triple Crown trail vets named

The American Association of Equine Practitioners has announced the roster of its members who will assist the media at upcoming telecasts of racing events associated with the Triple Crown. The association's program, On Call, provides access to equine veterinarians to assist with the reporting of injuries or health issues of horses.

Saturday's Lane's End Stakes and Rushaway Stakes at Turfway Park were to be attended by Dr. Mary Scollay, with the following events to be attended by different veterinarians:

March 28: Florida Derby and Swale Stakes, Gulfstream Park, Dr. Scott Hay.

April 4: Santa Anita Derby, Santa Anita Park, Dr. Jeff Blea; Illinois Derby, Hawthorne Park, Dr. Gary Norwood.

April 11: Arkansas Derby, Oaklawn Park, Dr. Milton McClure; Blue Grass Stakes, Keeneland Racecourse, Dr. Alan Ruggles.

April 18: Lexington Stakes, Keeneland Racecourse, Dr. Scott Hopper.

May 2: Kentucky Derby, Churchill Downs, Dr. Larry Bramlage.

May 16: Preakness Stakes, Pimlico Race Course, Bramlage.

June 6: Belmont Stakes, Belmont Park, Bramlage.
