Trainer Trout has big night with Fast Breakin Cash, Hits Pricey Legacy

Trainer C.R. Trout had a memorable Friday night at Remington Park, where his homebreds Fast Breakin Cash and Hits Pricey Legacy both won the first stakes races of their careers. Fast Breakin Cash was up for a three-quarter-length victory in the $70,000 Silver Goblin and Hits Pricey Legacy stormed to a 5 1/4-length win in the $75,000 Slide Show.
The races were showcased on a card that featured three stakes for Oklahoma-breds. Rowdy Rascal was an authoritative winner of the $75,000 Don C. McNeill.
Fast Breakin Cash ($20.60) had one horse beat early in the Silver Goblin, lagging behind fractions of 22.14 seconds for the opening quarter and 45.33 for the half-mile. He advanced on the turn of the 6 1/2-furlong race for 3-year-olds and up and barreled home to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:17.88.
“He wanted to win so bad,” winning rider Richard Eramia said in a post-race interview broadcast by Remington.

She stalked fractions of 24.84 seconds for the opening quarter, 49.97 for the half-mile and 1:15.71 for six furlongs. Hits Pricey Legacy moved to the fore from there and increased her advantage through the lane, while covering the mile for 2-year-old fillies in 1:40.39.
Jose Alvarez was aboard the winner Friday.
Morning Twilight, the 4-5 favorite, finished second, while it was another 1 3/4 lengths back in third to pacesetter Circle Back Girl.

Den’s Legacy had a second winner on the card when Rowdy Rascal also passed the two-turn test, taking the Don C. McNeill. It was the second straight stakes victory for Rowdy Rascal, who entered off a win in the Oklahoma Classics Night Juvenile.
Rowdy Rascal ($4.80) settled off fractions of 24.10 for the opening quarter and 48.97 for the half-mile. He advanced four wide around the final turn, took over through six furlongs in 1:14.34, and finished powerfully while covering a mile in 1:40.38.
