Trainer suspended for Clenbuterol positive
ELMONT, N.Y. - Trainer Victor Cuadra was suspended 15 days and fined $2,000 by the New York stewards for a post-race medication positive on one of his runners.
April Morning, who finished third in Aqueduct's ninth race on May 2, tested positive for clenbuterol. Cuadra suspension was reduced to 15 days from 30 after he waived his right to appeal. Cuadra was to begin serving his suspension on Monday.
Cuadra, who is stabled at Aqueduct, trains Say Florida Sandy, the all-time leading New York-bred in money won.
