HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Touchdown Arkansas became a stakes winner Saturday, when he put in a determined stretch run for a three-quarter-length victory over Cybertown in the $150,000 Nodouble Breeders’ Stakes at Oaklawn Park. It was another three-quarters of a length back in third to Bohemian Bo. The Nodouble was a six-furlong race for 3-year-olds and up bred in Arkansas. Touchdown Arkansas ($10) stalked the pace in third as Bohemian Bo took the field through an opening quarter in 22.83 seconds and a half-mile in 46.39, while pushed along by Willow Creek Road. Touchdown Arkansas was diligent through the stretch and covered six furlongs on a fast track in 1:10.31. Francisco Arrieta was aboard for trainer Tom Van Berg. Arrieta swept both Arkansas-bred stakes this weekend at Oaklawn, as he won the $150,000 Downthedustyroad aboard Haulin Ice on Friday. Touchdown Arkansas is a son of Bee Jersey who races for Lewis Matthews Jr.  :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering? Check out DRF's Handicapping 101 and Wagering 101 pages.
