Michael Burns Tiz Imaginary wins the Fanfreluche Stakes by two lengths Sunday at Woodbine.

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Tiz Imaginary ($11.90) outran the favored Get Rhythm en route to her first stakes win Sunday at Woodbine in the $150,000 Fanfreluche for Ontario-bred 2-year-old fillies.

Get Rhythm set moderate fractions in the six-furlong sprint, while being pressed by Tiz Imaginary, who had won her only other outing against maidens.
Tiz Imaginary poked her head in front early in the stretch and wore down Get Rhythm before drawing clear in the final sixteenth for a two-length tally in 1:10.53. After getting bumped at the break, Holy Flame stalked the leaders and caught Get Rhythm late to secure second in a field reduced to five after the scratch of Marilyns Last Love.

It was the third winner on the card for jockey Luis Contreras, who got a leg up from trainer Mike Doyle on Tiz Imaginary.

“She broke well and was a couple in front right away,” said Doyle. “The idea was to follow someone, and I’m glad it worked out that way. She ran a hell of a race. She seemed to improve from her last race.”

Tiz Imaginary, now unbeaten in two starts, earned $90,000 for Windhaven Farm. Doyle said he plans on running her back in one more stakes before the meet ends Nov. 29.

** Glenville Gardens ($14.70), under Emma-Jayne Wilson, captured the overnight stakes on Sunday’s card, the $102,800 Labeeb, which was run over a turf course labeled as yielding.

Money Talker finished second, while Ami’s Holiday rallied for third in the five-horse race. Morning-line favorites Tower of Texas and Are You Kidding Me were scratched, along with Peyton.
