Tiz Imaginary goes for three in Jammed Lovely

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Tiz Imaginary has won a pair of stakes over seven furlongs on Tapeta this season. She will seek her third added-money score at the distance in a compact field of four Sunday for the $150,000 Jammed Lovely Stakes for Ontario-bred 3-year-old fillies at Woodbine.

Tiz Imaginary overcame trouble to win the restricted Fury Stakes with a 79 Beyer Speed Figure on May 22 and most recently won the Duchess Stakes on Aug. 7. In the Duchess, Tiz Imaginary stalked a quick pace before holding off Moonlit Promise in the stretch to win by 1 1/4 lengths under jockey Emma-Jayne Wilson.

Tiz Imaginary was also nominated to Saturday’s $125,000 La Lorgnette Stakes over 1 1/16 miles on Tapeta, but trainer Mike Doyle opted to keep the daughter of Tizway in a sprint.

“She’s won two at the distance, and the race is restricted to Ontario-breds, so why change?” he said.
