Tioga: Sunday 6/3 Analysis

Derick Giwner|Jun 01, 2012

MEET STATS: 17 - 50 / $92.20

Best Bet: HITOUCH EMOTION (7th) Spot Play: BRONSON BLUE CHIP (3rd)

Race 1

(1) SHOW ME UP comes out of a much tougher spot and should be looking down the road. (3) SHEER BRILLIANCE drops out of Open company; should be better. (4) SHAMDEROCK went a big mile at a nice price when last seen here.

Race 2

(4) NATHAN FEELSGOOD is another one that is well spotted by trainer Mark Ford. This guy has ability and moves down the class ladder. (3) COOL CAL has been facing some decent conditioned foes at Harrington and raced at a higher level when last here. (7) LEBRON has plenty of early speed and could gun off the wings. (4) KEYSTONE VELOCITY put in some decent work last year.

Race 3

(6) BRONSON BLUE CHIP was sent to a new barn by top trainer Noel Daley, either because he couldn’t get this guy to go or to find some softer spots. Well, he found a soft spot and the driver change should help, too. (2) NOTHA LOAD found the going at Pocono to be too tough. This is more up her alley. (3) PRINCE CINTRAL rolled from off the pace but did get a favorable pace to close into last week. (4) IDEAL PHANNY MAN makes his first Tioga start in a month and got caught in a quick mile that day.

Race 4

(5) CAJUN TWILIGHT has been chasing much faster lately. (6) YACHT PARTY finished a solid second in his last try here in this condition. (3) JEREMY P HANOVER raced best when Freese was in the bike.

Race 5

(2) REDNECK RIVIERA seems to be in better form that his recent finish positions look on paper. Notice all his recent work has come on off tracks. I get the feeling he might like the extra quarter of a mile. (3) ERAGON was disappointing at this level last week; has class; though. (4) PRINCE SAIL ON has been in against better foes at Philadelphia. (5) WAR AND PEACE moves into a new barn.

Race 6

(5) COSMO MADNESS takes a huge class drop and adds one of the better drivers. (6) ERICHS BEST has also been facing better lately. (7) WESTERN MAC closed okay in his last couple of starts.

Race 7

(5) HITOUCH EMOTION gets to drop down this week and picks up a more experienced driver; time for a win. (7) BREAK EVEN drops a couple of classes for trainer Ron Burke. This looks like a softer spot. (8) CIANO MAN woke up nicely for this barn; steps up a notch.

Race 8

(8) RAGING GRIN doesn’t make me want to run to the windows but does seem sharper than this group. (6) PRINCE POLARIS stays at the same level but took on better last week; moves in two spots. (5) MIKEY WANTS MORE should leave and get a nice piece.

Race 9

(4) MAJOR WORK OF ART gets a driver change and could perk up. (1) JOVIAL JESTER N has speed from the cones. (7) FOUR STARZ TOMMY is off a nice effort.

Race 10

This is a wide open event. (4) FOX VALLEY TRIBAL was racing great before getting into the tough Open class at Yonkers. This spot will be much easier; early speed! (7) WINBAK DIMENSIONS was shuffled last time. I wouldn’t be shocked if he got involved at a nice price. (6) HAY GOODLOOKING stormed home last week. (3) VOICE OF TRUTH was racing very well before last week’s equipment issue.

Race 11

(5) STEUBEN JUMPINJACK drops back down to a winning level. (2) SOME OR LIS qualified well for a top barn. (3) RACKETEER was arguably facing better competition over at Saratoga; threat.

Race 12

(3) FOX VALLEY ROPER looks like another live shipper from the Ross Claridge barn. He arrives in form and drops one level. (1) HOLY BUCK won in this class last week. (6) BLUE COLLAR RAIDER only needs to stay closer to the leader to have a late chance of getting up at the wire.

Race 13

(1) WHITING HANOVER, (2) SUES DESTROYER and (3) HANDSOME HUSSY all raced well at this level last week. I simply can’t separate them.
