Tioga: Red carpet rolled out for W.N. Reynolds Stakes

Tioga Downs played host to several W.N. Reynolds Memorial races on Friday (September 23).

Texas Town (Wally Hennessey) went from last-to-first to capture the non-wagering $56,500 Reynolds Memorial for 2-year-old colts and geldings on the pace. Texas Town (Huntsville-Tell The Truth) scored in a career-best of 1:54 4/5, and he is owned by Jerry Hoffman and trainer David Byer. It was his second career victory. To The Hunt (Mark MacDonald) was second and Boston Bound (Marcus Miller) finished third.

Light And Tight (Tyler Buter) was a gate-to-wire winner in the $37,900 first division for 2-year-old pacing fillies in a lifetime-best of 1:53. Turn On The Charm (Wally Hennessey) finished second and Doing Marvelous (Mark MacDonald) took home third money. Light And Tight (American Ideal-Don't Point At) is trained by Nifty Norman for owners Pinske Stables and David Hoese. It was her second win in just four lifetime starts.

Rock My Socks (Mike Merton) picked up her first career win in the $37,900 second split for 2-year-old pacing fillies in 1:53 2/5. At The Hop (Jeff Gregory) got second money and American Wisdom (Marcus Miller) finished third. Rock My Socks (Boston Red Rocks-Kattimon) is owned by Rick Berks and trained by Jake Leamon. She paid $4.60 for the victory.

The Gruffalo (Jeff Gregory) won the $31,650 first division for 2-year-old trotting colts and geldings in 1:57. Met Your Request (Marcus Miller) finished second, while Bumpy Jack (Aaron Byron) was third. The Gruffalo (Chapter Seven-Clementine Dream) paid $3.60 for the win. He is owned by Racing Team Of America, Deena Frost, Emma Petterson, and trainer Mark Harder. It was his fifth win of the season.

You Got It (Tyler Buter) was an upset winner in the $31,650 second division for 2-year-old trotting colts and geldings in a lifetime-best of 1:57 3/5. Unique Style (Mark MacDonald) was second-best and Night Star (Marcus Miller) finished third. You Got it (Chapter Seven-Tweet Me) is owned by Allister Stables LLC. and trained by Noel Daley. The colt won for the fourth time this season and paid $21.00 for the win.

Instagram Model (Jeff Gregory) cruised to easy win in the $36,000 first division for 2-year-old trotting fillies in 1:56. Saint Trixie (Wally Hennessey) was second, with Pride N Joy (Tyler Buter) finishing third. Instagram Model (Chapter Seven-Check Out Trixie) is owned by R. Lynn Curry and trained by Annie Stoebe. The filly paid $3.60 to win and was victorious for the fifth time in six starts.

Sparkling Tile S (Ake Svanstedt) charged late to capture the $36,000 second division for 2-year-old trotting fillies in 1:58 1/5. Heaven Hanover (Wally Hennessey) finished second and Read The Book (Mark MacDonald) was third-best. Sparkling Tile S (Face Time Bourbon-Riveting Rosie) is owned by Jorgen Sparredal and trained by Svanstedt. The first-time winner paid a whopping $31.80 for the victory.
