MGM Messenger Stakes champion Pleaseletmeknow got back on track after suffering defeats in his last two starts, taking the quickest of the three New York Sire Stakes sections for sophomore pacing colts and geldings on Sunday afternoon at Tioga Downs. Driver Jordan Stratton took the other two splits with Seven Hundred and River Ness.

Driven by Matt Kakaley in the first $39,233 flight, Pleaseletmeknow brushed from third to first after the 27 1/5 opening quarter and then gave All About The Hunt (Stratton) a parking ticket through a half in 55 2/5 and a three-quarters in 1:22 2/5. Pleaseletmeknow dispatched All About The Hunt on the final bend and then drew off from the rest of the field as well in a 28 1/5 final panel, winning by 5 1/2 lengths in 1:50 3/5. JD (Mark MacDonald) was second, followed by Huntanover (Tyler Buter).

Travis Alexander trains Pleaseletmeknow, an American Ideal gelding, for owner/breeder Fiddler's Creek Stables LLC. This was Pleaseletmeknow's tenth win from 17 lifetime starts, he has now banked $422,194, and he paid $4.20 to win as the favorite.

In the second $38,533 division, Kingsville (Jason Bartlett) led through fractions of 27 2/5, 57, and 1:24 1/5, but he would be out-kicked in the lane by pocket-sitter Seven Hundred and Stratton, with Seven Hundred getting up to tally by a length and a half in 1:51 4/5. Kingsville wound up second and Top Genius (Marcus Miller) collected third.

Seven Hundred, a Huntsville colt bred by Blue Chip Bloodstock and Our Horse Cents Stables, is trained by Jake Leamon for owner Rick Berks. This was his sixth career victory, he has now earned $117,155, and he returned $8.20 to win as the 3-1 second choice.

River Ness and Stratton took the final $39,233 sire stakes showdown in 1:53 1/5. River Ness pressed on two-wide to wrestle command away from Roll With The Flow (Jim Taggart Jr.) after the 27 3/5 opening quarter, and after a 56 3/5 half and a 1:24 4/5 three-quarters, he got home in 28 2/5 to beat The Claw (Aaron Byron) by a length and a quarter. Roll With The Flow finished third.

A Huntsville gelding bred by Steve Stewart, Oakwood Farms, and Michael Robinson, River Ness is trained by Ron Burke for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC., Weaver Bruscemi LLC., J&T Silva- Purnel & Libby, and Frank Baldachino. River Ness has compiled a record of 4-4-4 from 22 trips behind the gate, has now pocketed $232,061, and paid $3.20 to win after being dispatched as the 3-5 choice.
