Fred J. Brown Jr. My Debt Collecter picked up a hard-fought win in her New York Sire Stakes split

My Debt Collecter and Seventh Gen, two daughters of Chapter Seven, emerged victorious from a pair of $58,000 New York Sire Stakes divisions that were featured on Friday evening at Tioga Downs.

In the first grouping Best Story Ever (Tyler Miller) cut fractions of 28 4/5, 59 4/5 and 1:28 3/5, but My Debt Collecter (Tyler Buter) made steady progress on the outside after she went first-over from of fourth past the half and was second at three-quarters. On the last turn My Debt Collecter took a narrow lead over Best Story Ever and kept it through the lane, prevailing by half a length in 1:57 1/5. Best Story Ever made a late break in stride and was demoted to third in the official order of finish as she was lapped-on at the wire by Pink Chou Chou (Jeff Gregory), who was promoted from third to second.

Breeders David McDuffee, Mel Hartman and Little E LLC. own My Debt Collecter and she is trained by Nifty Norman. She made her seventh appearance in the winner's circle from 14 efforts, has pocketed $365,496 and returned $4.30 to win.

The other flight saw favored Royal Mission (Braxten Boyd) on the engine at the 27 2/5 quarter, and she would keep control through middle-half panels of 56 and 1:25 while she gave the cold shoulder to a first-over Chapvious (Frank Affrunti). On the final bend Pink Bomb (Buter) and Seventh Gen (Gregory) both had room to get off the pylons after sitting on the cones, and in the stretch it would be Seventh Gen with the best kick as she powered to a 2 1/4 length decision in 1:55 flat. Pink Bomb wound up second and Royal Mission faded to third.

Gregory also co-owns and trains Seventh Gen, who was bred by Fair Winds Farm, with partner Jesmeral Stable. She has a summary of 5-0-2 from nine trips behind the gate, has put away $93,775 and she returned $20.40 to win.
