?q=100)
Driver Jason Bartlett and trainer Chris Ryder teamed up to take both New York Sire Stakes divisions for 3-year-old pacing fillies that were held on Sunday afternoon at Tioga Downs.
In the first $58,100 grouping, Bronx Barista (Mark MacDonald) put up opening-half fractions of 27 3/5 and 57 2/5, with Bartlett and Tarrific coming off the cones first-up from third just past the half. Tarrific advanced quickly to get on even-terms with Bronx Barista before the 1:24 1/5 three-quarters, and their duel would continue on the final bend. Tarrific forged her way by late on the turn, and then she drew clear in the lane to win by three lengths in 1:51 3/5. Hunting Hula (Pat Lachance) finished second and Bronx Barista faded to third.
A daughter of Huntsville bred by Dr. Stephen Dey III, Tarrific is owned by Margaret Dey and Let It Ride Stables Inc. This was her first win in her tenth lifetime start, she has now pocketed $86,629 and paid $2.50 to win as the 1-5 favorite.

Peace Talks and Bartlett were sent off at 10-1 in the other $59,200 flight, but after carving out stations of 26 3/5, 55 4/5 and 1:23 1/5, Peace Talks, who won the sire stakes final for this division last year in a 39-1 surprise, had a 27 3/5 kicker left in reserve and held off pocket-sitter Ponynamedwildfire (MacDonald) by three-quarters of a length in a 1:50 4/5 performance. Camerican (Jordan Stratton) collected third.
By American Ideal, Peace Talks was bred by Donald Robinson, Michael Robinson, Steve Stewart and James Daut and is owned by Henderson Farms, Jeffrey Bell, Fac Racing LLC. and Robert Mondillo. Peace Talks has a summary of 3-4-3 from 14 career appearances, has banked $261,929 and returned $23.20 to win.
