G3 Fair Grounds H 1/2 167 3/4 141 Fin 128 Top 3: Synchrony 128, Mr. Misunderstood 126, Tiz a Slam 119 Note: Very fast pace - top five finishers were seventh through 11th after opening half-mile (12-horse field); first race for winner off a nine-month layoff. Laurel G2 Barbara Fritchie Stakes 1/4 128 1/2 115 Fin 111 Top 3: Ms Locust Point 113, Moiety 104, Berned 101 Note: Field was decimated by scratches due to an equine herpes myeloencephalopathy (EHM) case at Belmont Park; first graded stakes win for Ms Locust Point - she has won six of eight lifetime. G3 General George Stakes 1/4 155 1/2 133 Fin 121 Top 3: Something Awesome 120, Fellowship 120, It’s the Journey 123 Note: Very fast pace set up nicely for top 2 - were running seventh and eight (of eight) after opening quarter-mile. Oaklawn G3 Southwest S 1/2 134 3/4 115 Fin 118 Top 3: My Boy Jack 117, Combatant 112, Sporting Chance 106 Note: Winner had clear sailing on the rail while runner-up lost ground outside; first race for Sporting Chance since winning G1 Hopeful back in September. G3 Razorback H 1/2 117 3/4 122 Fin 126 Top 3: Hawaakom 125, Leofric 121, Rocking the Boat 120 Note: Winner rallied through a tight spot on what appeared to be a very good rail; third career speed figure of 125 or better. G3 Bayakoa S 1/2 147 3/4 127 Fin 110 Top 3: Streamline 110, Terra Promessa 114, Torrent 110 Note: Terra Promessa chased fast pace (coded red by TimeformUS) while wide, good effort but races better on the lead. Streamline’s last three wins have all come at Oaklawn, a track where she’s never missed the board in 10 tries. Santa Anita G2 Buena Vista S 1/2 137 3/4 125 Fin 121 Top 3: Fault 120, Thundering Sky 119, Juno 121 Note: Newly acquired Fault won G3 Pucker Up at Arlington over the summer but was off the board in last three starts; handled G2 stakes foes in first Southern Californian race. G3 Las Flores Stakes 1/4 125 1/2 120 Fin 122 Top 3: Selcourt 121, Coniah 120, Skye Diamonds 118 Note: Third win in five tries and 2 for 2 since eight-month layoff, both stakes races. Maiden Special Weight 1/4 145 1/2 133 Fin 130 Top 3: Justify 131, Camby 115, Paddock Pick 115 Note: Largest winning TimeformUS Speed Figure for a maiden since Maclean’s Music in 2011; track coded pink by TimeformUS indicating speed did better than expected. Gulfstream G3 Royal Delta S 1/2 112 3/4 115 Fin 117 Top 3: Martini Glass 116, Lewis Bay 115, Verve’s Tale 110 Note: Winner was top TimeformUS Power Pick (8-1); first graded stakes win and ninth in 22 starts for mare that began career running for a 16k claiming tag. Golden Gate El Camino Real Derby 1/2 158 3/4 136 Fin 108 Top 3: Paved 112, City Plan 107, Blended Citizen 108 Note:  Hot pace - all fractions red in TimeformUS PPs. Winner, a filly, earned 10 points in the Kentucky Derby points system.
