Saratoga

TimeformUS Saratoga Horses in Focus for Friday, Aug. 31, 2018

David Aragona|Aug 30, 2018

Race 8:
Naples Princess (#7)

The Pace Projector is predicting that she will get a fast pace to close into.

Showed good improvement in her second start off the layoff last time, closing encouragingly into a slow pace.

Appears to have returned as an improved 4-year-old this year.

Race 9:
Ready for Rye (#5)

Has had excuses in some recent starts, as he was too far back in a race where the pace held together two back and then didn’t handle soft turf last time.

Showed that he can still run competitively in his dirt race on May 27.

Will appreciate the chance to race on a firm course against a weaker field than he’s faced in his recent turf starts.

Race 10:
Timeless Beauty (#2)

Showed greatly improved tactical speed in her return to the races last time.

Has a strong stretch kick, evidenced by her superior 91 Late Pace Rating in TimeformUS PPs, which should help her to power past these going seven furlongs.

DRF Formulator Fact: Over the past five years, Robertino Diodoro is 10 for 31 (32 percent, $2.22 ROI) first off the claim with horses in for a tag of $25,000 or less in dirt sprints at NYRA.

5-2 on ML
