Race 2: Caoimhe (#1)

Finds herself in an unusually weak race for this level.

Ran a string of competitive speed figures going shorter earlier this summer and will appreciate turning back to a sprint.

Eric Cancel seems to do well when riding closers in cheap races.

Race 8: Heavy Meddle (#2)

Was very wide over a surface that he doesn’t particularly care for last time.

Ran deceptively well two back when he made a premature move into a fast pace before getting closed down.

Catches some potentially vulnerable rivals after having faced tougher fields at this level.

5-1 on ML

Race 9: Major Force (#1)

Ran some strong races for the prior barn at Belmont Park, overcoming very slow paces to win on May 26 and June 22.

His last effort was better than it seems, as he finished ahead of War Stroll who returned to beat today’s rival Expected Ruler.

It’s a good sign that Javier Castellano keeps the mount despite the barn change.
