Time and Motion ready for Jenny Wiley
Barbara D. Livingston Time and Motion has not raced since the Matriarch at Del Mar on Dec. 4.
Time and Motion, prepping for a meeting with Lady Eli in the Grade 1 Jenny Wiley at Keeneland on April 15, blazed five furlongs in 58.20 seconds Sunday morning over the Palm Meadows turf course. She went her first three furlongs in 34.68 seconds and came home in 23.52.
“I wanted to go in 59, but inside the dogs you’re naturally going to go a little quicker,” trainer Jimmy Toner said. “She’s had two nice breezes here. We’ll take her to Lexington on Monday and give her a little maintenance half on Sunday. She came to hand a lot quicker than I thought, so I might as well go for it.”
Time and Motion won the Queen Elizabeth II last fall at Keeneland for her first Grade 1 victory.
