Tiger Ridge filly fastest at Fasig-Tipton preview

A Tiger Ridge filly posted the fastest eighth-mile time of 10.20 seconds at Monday's under-tack preview for the June 28 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-year-olds and horses of racing age sale. The workouts took place at Timonium. Md., where the auction will be held starting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

The Tiger Ridge filly is a daughter of Xcept Your Address (Silver Deputy) who will sell as Hip No. 4 in Hank Bird's Steephollow Farms consignment.

Five juveniles shared the fastest quarter-mile time of 22.60 seconds. They were Hip No. 2, a Holy Bull colt out of the Unbridled mare Unimaginable, also offered by Steephollow, agent; Hip No. 8, a Pentelicus filly out of Black Enamel (Known Fact) offered by Kimberlite Farm; Hip No. 19, a Vicar daughter of Dodge Fever, by Dodge, consigned by Habu, LLC; Hip No. 25, a Lost Soldier colt out of Festive Scout, by Festive, also from the Steephollow agency; and Hip No. 49, a Touch Gold filly out of Kiwi Mint, by Key to the Mint, on offer from Danny Pate's Solitary Oak agency.

The day's best three-eighth-mile time was 34.80 for Hip No. 73, an Indian Charlie son of Sassy Alex, by Sunny's Halo, consigned by the Safari Bloodstock agency.
