Michael Burns Ticker Tape Home took home the Fury Stakes for trainer Mark Casse, who had the top three finishers in the Woodbine Oaks prep.

ETOBICOKE, Ontario — Trainer Mark Casse swept the top three positions in Saturday's $125,500 Fury Stakes, with the favored Ticker Tape Home romping over Elysian Field and Me and My Shadow in the Woodbine Oaks prep.

Ticker Tape Home ($5.30) set moderate fractions under Patrick Husbands in the seven-furlong sprint for Canadian-bred 3-year-old fillies. She opened up a clear lead on the turn before coasting home on top by four lengths, in a time of 1:22.15.

Elysian Field finished 1 1/2 lengths clear of a closing Me and My Shadow. Tito’s Calling wound up fourth and was followed by Fashionably Fab, Speed Trap, Canadiansweetheart, Anam Cara, and Courtly Ro.

One of the better 2-year-old fillies at Woodbine last year, Ticker Tape Home was unplaced in two winter starts at Tampa before getting a break here this spring.

“She was really going into this race good,” Husbands said. “Since she got back here, I got on her about five times. The last time when I breezed her, [assistant trainer David Adams] said to go easy with her, which is about [a half-mile] in .49 or .50. I had her on the outside fence, and she went in .47 and wanted to go around with me again.”

A daughter of Medaglia d’Oro, Ticker Tape Home earned $75,000 in her first stakes victory for Live Oak Plantation.
