Three colts top Wednesday’s OBS June breeze show

A trio of colts turned in the co-fastest times for one furlong during Wednesday’s session of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. June 2-year-olds and horses of racing age sale, covering the distance in :10 seconds flat.

The three horses that tied for the fastest furlong over the Ocala Training Center’s synthetic Safetrack surface were:

► Hip No. 455, a gray or roan Grand Slam colt, out of the stakes-placed Black Tie Affair mare Beaux Arts Ball. The mare’s three winners include Grade 2 winner Nightmare Affair and Grade 3-placed Off the Richter. The colt is consigned by Secure Investments, and is from the family of Grade 2-placed Another Silver Oak.

► Hip No. 519, a bay colt from the first crop of Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver, out of the unraced Cat Thief mare Centurian Lady. Consigned as agent by Casse Sales, the colt’s page also includes Grade 1 winner Healthy Addiction and Grade 2 winner Yara.

► Hip No. 558, a bay colt by Kitten’s Joy, out of the winning Candy Ride mare Collar. The colt is consigned by Southern Cypress Stable, agent, and is from the family of Grade 3 winner Fifth Overture.

A pair of fillies registered the fastest two-furlong breezes of the day, completing their workouts in :21 seconds flat:

► Hip No. 406, a dark bay or brown Scat Daddy filly. She is out of the winning Yes It’s True mare April True, whose first foal to race is a winner. Consigned by Eddie Woods, agent, the filly is from the family of stakes winners Starclock and Clock Tower.

► Hip No. 408, Gracen Joy, a gray or roan Kitten’s Joy filly, out of the winning Exchange Rate mare Arazi Exchange. The mare is the dam of one winner from two foals to race. The filly is consigned as agent by Mariela Inzuna Gastelun, and is from the family of Canadian champion Musketier and Grade 2 winner Miatuschka.

The OBS June breeze show continues through Saturday, June 14, beginning each day at 7:30 a.m. Eastern at the Ocala Training Center. The sale begins Tuesday, June 17, with sessions starting daily at 10:30 a.m. Eastern through Friday, June 20.
