LEXINGTON, Ky. - Three Chimneys Farm will lower the stud fees for four of its stallions in 2011, including dual classic winner Big Brown. A son of Boundary he will have his fee dropped from $55,000 to $40,000. Dynaformer will remain at $150,000 again next year. His fee is the only one due Sept. 1. All other Three Chimneys stud fees are due when the foal stands and nurses, and the farm has announced that early payment incentives, multiple-mare packages, and breed-back specials are on offer. Sky Mesa, a leading third-crop sire whose runners include Grade 1 winner General Quarters, is the only Three Chimneys horse whose fee will rise in 2011. A Pulpit horse, he increases from $25,000 to $30,000. Other Three Chimneys stallions taking fee cuts for the coming breeding season are Flower Alley, from $12,500 to $10,000; Point Given, from $10,000 to $7,500; and Yes It's True, from $17,500 to $15,000. The Midway, Ky., farm's remaining stallions will keep their 2010 fees, as follows: Exchange Rate, $25,000; Good Reward, $5,000; Lewis Michael, $5,000; Red Giant, $6,000; and War Chant, $12,500.
