Thoroughbred Owner Conference rescheduled
An annual conference designed to encourage and educate Thoroughbred owners has been rescheduled for Nov. 2-5 in Lexington, Ky., the organizers announced on Friday.
The Thoroughbred Owner Conference, which is put on by The Jockey Club and Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association, will take place in the days immediately preceding this year’s Breeders’ Cup event, scheduled for Nov. 6-7 at Keeneland Racecourse in Lexington. The conference agenda includes nine panel discussions on topics that affect Thoroughbred owners, such as syndications, safety reforms, and aftercare.

The conference was originally scheduled to take place July 19-22 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., but that date was canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
In a release, the conference organizers said that they will be “continually monitoring the status of COVID-19,” and that registration fees would be refunded or “converted to a virtual registration” if an “in-person conference is deemed unsafe.”
The conference is scheduled to be held at the Embassy Suites just north of Lexington on Newtown Pike.
