Theresa Vella dies at 50

Theresa "Terrie" Vella, wife of trainer Danny Vella, died in Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto at age 50 on Saturday following a long battle with cancer.

The family was to receive visitors beginning at noon Tuesday at Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen St. South (Highway 50) in Bolton, Ontario, with the funeral to follow in the chapel there at 1:30 p.m.

Vella also is survived by two children, Jillian and Christopher.
