Texas catalog has 401 yearlings

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - Lone Star Park, which has been dark since its Thoroughbred meet closed July 15, will play host to the Fasig-Tipton Texas summer yearling sale on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 27-28. A total of 401 yearlings have been cataloged to the annual sale, sponsored by the Texas Thoroughbred Association.

The sale starts with a selected session at 11 a.m. Central time on Monday. Valid Expectations, sire of the $305,000 colt who topped the selected session of the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company yearling sale, has a colt and a filly in the selected session at Fasig-Tipton Texas.
