Texans help Katrina relief

Retama Park near San Antonio and the Texas Horsemen's Partnership are working together to help Fair Grounds employees and Louisiana horsemen displaced by Hurricane Katrina.

"We are prepared to provide help in anyway we can to those Fair Grounds personnel who need economic assistance and housing," said Bryan Brown, chief executive officer of Retama.

Retama has scheduled interviews for two Fair Grounds staff members and hopes to offer positions to others, said Brown.
