Testing One Two prevails in Owner Appreciation Distaff

Testing One Two improved her Delta Downs record to 6 for 7 on Friday night, driving to a 2 1/4-length win over Maline in the $60,000 Owner Appreciation Distaff Stakes. It was another two lengths back to Saffron Spirit in third.
The Owner Appreciation Distaff was a one-mile race for fillies and mares who had started in at least one overnight race at the meet since it opened Oct. 17. Delta closes on Tuesday.
Testing One Two ($5.20) settled off the pace set by Americium, who took the field through an opening quarter in 22.89 seconds, and Arch Arch Baby, who took the baton through a half-mile in 47.52. Testing One Two moved to the fore after six furlongs in 1:13.52 and went on to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:41.86.
Diego Saenz was aboard for trainer Victor Arceneaux.
Testing One Two is a 4-year-old by Star Guitar who races for her breeder, Brittlyn Stable. She has won eight races in her 13-race career, with six of those victories coming in stakes. Testing One Two picked up a first-place check of $42,000 on Friday to improve her career earnings to $399,660.
