Tenth Power extends winning streak to six

Bill Hodtwalker|May 26, 2010

Tenth Power, voted claimer of the year at the recently concluded Fonner Park meeting, continued his winning ways in Lincoln last Sunday by winning his sixth straight race without a loss this year.

Tenth Power, 6 for 6 this season, is now tied for third nationally with two other horses for most wins this year. He is the only one of the top five leaders with a perfect record.

Tenth Power, a 4-year-old Kentucky-bred son of Ten Most Wanted, came to owner-trainer Milton Gaede this spring with a 2 for 11 lifetime mark. Since then, he has won twice for a $5,000 claiming tag, a $20,000 optional claiming race at 6 1/2 furlongs, and a starter allowance at 1 1/8 miles.
