Teniente Coronel seeks third straight in Borgata

Delta Downs in Vinton, La., will close out its meet Saturday night with a stakes for those who supported the track’s racing program. The $75,000 Borgata is for 4-year-olds and up who have started at either Delta or its sister track, Evangeline Downs, in 2015-16.
Teniente Coronel will be seeking his third straight win at the meet in the one-mile Borgata. He faces a field that includes the multiple stakes-placed Galveston Harbor, who is an older half-brother to Grade 2 winner Mobile Bay. Others making up the eight-horse Borgata include Hazards of Love, who is looking for career win No. 27, and Great Minds, a recent allowance winner at Delta.
