Tempt Fate has eye on Arkansas-bred stakes at Oaklawn

Trainer Carl Deville has Tempt Fate gearing up for Arkansas-bred stakes at the Oaklawn meet, which opens Dec. 3.
Tempt Fate established himself as a leading contender for 2021 Arkansas-bred of the year honors by winning all four of his starts at the Oaklawn meet this year, including the $200,000 Arkansas Breeders Championship and $150,000 Nodouble.

“He’s getting back ready,” Deville said. “We’re trying to get a race in him before Oaklawn opens, but it’s very hard right now. He’s out of conditions.”
Tempt Fate is a son of Hamazing Destiny who races for Jerry Caroom.
Deville said he plans to start moving his stable into Oaklawn next month. He said he has some nice 2-year-olds coming along, including some that were bred in Arkansas.
