Telling’s first foals born in Florida

Multiple Grade 1 winner and first-year sire Telling was represented by his first reported foal, a filly, on March 3 in Dunnellon, Fla.

Bred by Jan Cubbage, the filly is the seventh foal out of the Not For Love mare Dolly by Golly, who has produced four winners from five to race. The filly has already been named Notorious Flirt; she is owned by Alex and Mary Lieblong, who campaigned Telling.

A colt by Telling was foaled on March 10 at Hal Queen’s farm in Ocala. He is out of the Purge mare Perfect’s Lil Sis, dam of four winners from five to race.

Telling, a 9-year-old son of A.P. Indy out of the Grade 1-winning Deputy Minister mare Well Chosen, stands at HallMarc Stallions at Stonewall Farm in Ocala, Fla. for an advertised fee of $10,000.

Bred by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum’s Darley operation, Telling was a turf specialist during his racing career, winning six of 28 starts for earnings of $848,409. His two biggest victories came in the 2009 and 2010 editions of the Grade 1 Sword Dancer Invitational Stakes at Saratoga Race Course.
