Ted Noffey, who on Thursday is expected to be announced as 2-year-old champion male for 2025, was 6-1, the shortest-priced individual horse of 39 betting horses offered after wagering in pool 3 of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager closed. “All others” was the 7-2 favorite in pool 3, wagering for which was available from noon Friday through 6 p.m. Sunday. Total handle for the Jan. 16-18 Future pool was $355,060 ($272,202 in the win pool, $82,858 in exactas), an 8.2 percent gain from last year’s pool $328,150 ($254,139 in the win pool and $74,011 in Exactas). Ted Noffey, undefeated winner of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, was also the individual betting favorite at 7-1 after pool 2 closed Nov. 30 and the 10-1 individual favorite at 10-1 after pool 1 closed on Oct. 31, at 10-1. All others was the betting favorite after pool 1 (6-5) and pool 2 (2-1). Following Ted Noffey, the next three shortest-priced individual betting interest in pool 3 were Grade Remsen winner Paladin (14-1), recent Gulfstream Park debut maiden winner Chief Wallabee (17-1) and recent Gulfstream allowance winner Nearly (20-1). Other Future Wager dates are set for Feb. 13-15 (Pool 4); March 13-15 (Pool 5) and April 2-4 (Pool 6).
