Tattersalls yearling sale to offer 508 in September

The Tattersalls sales company in Newmarket, England, has cataloged 508 yearlings to its upcoming October Book 1 yearling auction.

The sale will take place Oct. 5-7 in Newmarket. All horses in the catalog are eligible for the 2012 and 2013 Tattersalls Millions races, six races totaling more than $2 million in purses for sale graduates.

The October Book 1 catalog features full or half-siblings to 50 Group 1 and classic winners and more than 200 other group winners, as well as the first yearlings from such sires as Curlin, Henrythenavigator, Raven’s Pass, and others. American sires represented in the catalog include Arch, Bernardini, Elusive Quality, Ghostzapper, Giant’s Causeway, Indian Charlie, King’s Best, Lemon Drop Kid, Medaglia d’Oro, Mizzen Mast, Monsun, Mr. Greeley, Smart Strike, Speightstown, Stormy Atlantic, Street Cry, and Tale of the Cat.
