Tattersalls sets dates for October yearling sale

Tattersalls has scheduled its October yearling sale from Oct. 7 to 17 at its sale grounds in Newmarket, England.

The sale will begin with its Book 1 sections, featuring approximately 480 selected yearlings, from Oct. 7 to 9, beginning at 11 a.m. local time daily. Only yearlings sold in Book 1 will qualify for the 1.3-million pound Tattersalls Millions race series at Newmarket Racecourse for 2- and 3-year-olds in the following seasons.

Book 2, featuring about 820 yearlings, takes place Oct. 13 to 15, beginning at 10 a.m. daily.

Book 3 will featuring about 550 yearlings, selling in three sessions Oct. 16 at 9:30 a.m.; Oct. 17 at 9:30 a.m.; and Oct. 17 at 5:30 p.m. Yearlings in Book 3 will be eligible for the 150,000-pound Tattersalls October Auction Stakes.
