That Tat captures Folklore

Jeff Taylor|Aug 18, 2002

Bossier City, La - The stakes wins keep coming for leading trainer Cole Norman as Kenneth Murphy's That Tat kicked down pacesetter Honor Me to capture Sunday's $40,000 Folklore Handicap. Unrullah Bull, also trained by Norman, finished third followed by 6-5 favorite Boots On Sunday who pressured Honor

Me through a quick opening half mile of :44.56 before faltering down the lane. The Folklore was Norman's sixth stakes win through 31 days of racing.

That Tat ($9.60), ridden by Anthony Lovato, stepped the six and a half furlongs in a rapid 1:15.95 over a fast track. The win was his seventh career victory in 21 starts and the winner's share of $24,000 increased his career earning to just under $150,000.
