Tapp joins Gainesway staff

Gainesway has announced that Ian Tapp has accepted a position with the Lexington, Ky., farm, focusing on sales and bloodstock.

Tapp, a native of Atlanta, Ga., spent the previous five years with The Blood-Horse, where he served as editor of Blood-Horse Daily, editor of Blood-Horse MarketWatch, and brand manager for TrueNicks.

“Ian brings an undeniable passion for the business and broad knowledge of racing, breeding, and pedigrees,” said Gainesway president Antony Beck. “I’m thrilled to bring Ian’s talent and energy to Gainesway.”

Tapp graduated from the Darley Flying Start program in 2009 and holds an animal science degree from the University of Arizona’s Race Track Industry Program. In his new role at Gainesway, his responsibilities will include client relations, season sales, and new business development.
