Lee Einsidler won the feature race last Friday at Aqueduct but even the enthusiastic horse owner had to admit that was only the second-best thing that happened to him that afternoon.
Einsidler watched T Kraft win a third-level allowance Friday on a big screen television from Saratoga National Golf Club, where about 45 minutes after the race Einsidler married his longtime girlfriend Aimee Brisson.
“The cocktail hour started at 4 because I knew the race was at 4:08. We had all the TVs on and had 70 people cheering for T Kraft,” Einsidler said. “We wrapped up the cocktail hour at 4:45 and then we had a gorgeous ceremony.”
Before exchanging vows, Einsidler did have to tell his bride that T Kraft won.
“She said, ‘What are you talking about? We’re getting married,’ ” Einsidler said.
While Einsidler watched the race inside, trainer Bill Mott watched on his phone from just outside Saratoga National.
“He said, ‘Lee, if he didn’t win I was going to leave,’ ” Einsidler said Mott told him.
T Kraft earned a career-best 97 Beyer Speed Figure for his one-length win, his fourth from 12 career starts and first since he won the Jimmy Winkfield in March 2025. Now out of conditions, T Kraft is likely headed to stakes at Saratoga, where his options are the Grade 2, $400,000 Alfred G. Vanderbilt on July 25 and the Grade 1, $500,000 Forego on Aug. 29.
