Sydney Freeman rolls in Useeit Stakes

Sydney Freeman delivered at 3-5 on Sunday at Remington Park when she rolled to a 4 3/4-length win over Three Chords in the $70,000 Useeit Stakes. It was another 1 3/4 lengths back to pacesetter Spring Steen in third.
The Useeit was the first of six stakes on the closing-day card at Remington. The program was led by the $400,000 Springboard Mile, a points race for the Kentucky Derby.
The Useeit was for 3-year-old fillies bred in Oklahoma and Sydney Freeman was a strong favorite following a third-place finish in the $250,000 Zia Park Oaks. She was content to settle off the pace as Spring Steen took the field through fractions of 24.79 seconds for the opening quarter, 50.01 for the half-mile and 1:15.24 for six furlongs. Sydney Freeman advanced three wide on the final turn and closed steadily through the stretch to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:40.96.

Sydney Freeman is a daughter of Tizway who races for her breeder, Robert Zoellner. Her dam, Peach Brew, was a Grade 3 winner for her owner and trainer. Sydney Freeman was winning her second stakes at the meet. She defeated older Oklahoma-bred fillies and mares in October in the $145,000 Oklahoma Classics Distaff.
United Patriot triumphs in Jim Thorpe
In the $70,000 Jim Thorpe, United Patriot overtook pacesetter and even-money favorite Shannon C in the stretch and went on to a 3 1/2-length victory. Daaher’s Success rallied for second as Shannon C held on for third in the mile race for 3-year-olds bred in Oklahoma.
United Patriot ($5.60) was content to sit in third behind dueling leaders Sunday, with Shannon C putting up fractions of 24.01 seconds for the opening quarter and 47.82 for the half-mile. Shannon C continued to lead through six furlongs in 1:13.32 as United Patriot advanced and went on to cover the distance in 1:40.68.
David Cabrera was aboard for trainer Karl Broberg.
United Patriot is a son of Flat Out who races for the partnership of Robert G. and Robert K. Nokes. Earlier this year, the horse was second in the Manitoba Derby.
Clever Serve wins She's All In
Clever Serve became a stakes winner in the $100,000 She’s All In when she rallied past Cosmic Burst in the stretch for a 1 1/2-length victory. Adore, who was shooting for her fifth straight win, finished another 1 3/4 lengths back in third.
The She’s All In was a mile and 70-yard race for fillies and mares. It served as the first leg of a late pick four that had a minimum guaranteed pool of $100,000.
Clever Serve ($21) could see them all in the early going, trailing the field before launching her run on the final turn. She advanced three wide, came into the stretch four wide, and ran down the leaders. Clever Serve covered the distance in 1:43.79.

Adore hopped out of the gate at the start and the front-runner then found herself racing off the pace Sunday.
