Sweetnorthernsaint last to arrive
Sweetnorthernsaint, who finished seventh as the Kentucky Derby favorite, was the final Preakness horse to arrive at Pimlico, arriving here just before 7 a.m. Saturday morning. Sweetnorthernsaint vanned over from Laurel Park, approximately a 27-mile trip.
Trainer Michael Trombetta said he has attended approximately 20 runnings of the Preakness, but this will be the first time he has started a horse in the race.
"I'm comfortable here," Trombetta said. "It's nice to be home."
