The multiple stakes winners Gaming and Sweet Azteca worked at Santa Anita on Friday in advance of expected summer campaigns. Gaming, a 4-year-old colt trained by Bob Baffert, worked a half-mile in 48.40 seconds, his fourth workout of the month. Gaming has won 3 of 10 starts and is best known for winning the Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity in September 2024. Later that year, Gaming was second to stablemate Citizen Bull in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile at Del Mar. Owned by the partnership of Mike Pegram, Karl Watson and Paul Weitman, Gaming was third in the Tokyo City Stakes at a mile at Santa Anita last October in his most recent start. A five-time stakes winner, Sweet Azteca won the Grade 3 Rancho Bernardo Handicap for fillies and mares at Del Mar last August. She was scratched from the BC Filly and Mare Sprint at Del Mar last November on the morning of the race. In the last two years, Sweet Azteca has won the Grade 2 Great Lady M.
