Swan Lake takes them all the way in English Channel Stakes

Swan Lake danced his way to an impressive win in the $75,000 English Channel for 3-year-olds at Gulfstream Park. He paid $20.80 for his two-length victory over Boppy O, who was favored in the one-mile race on turf.

Swan Lake broke from post 7 in the nine-horse and was aggressively ridden by Edgar Perez by in order to make the lead heading into the first turn. He set interior fractions of 23.79 and 47.63 seconds while under pressure from Cosmic Speculation and Haruki. He openend up a clear lead at the top of the stretch and was never threatened by Boppy O, who came from a stalking position. People Force rallied to finish third.

A Florida-bred son of Fort Loudon, Swan Lake posted a final time of 1:34.79. He is trained by Elizabeth Dobles and races for Dobles and Imaginary Stables.
