Super Majesty's next move undecided

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Hall of Fame trainer Jerry Hollendorfer said Monday from California that he was thrilled with the 1 3/4-length victory by Super Majesty in the Grade 3 Dogwood Stakes on Saturday night at Churchill Downs and that he was unsure whether to forge ahead to the Oct. 31 Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint.
Hollendorfer said he will consider keeping Super Majesty with 3-year-olds by running her in the Grade 2 Raven Run Stakes on Oct. 17 at Keeneland, “or we might decide to just go straight to the Breeders’ Cup. I’ll give it some time and try to make an intelligent decision.”
Super Majesty, owned by LNJ Foxwoods, led throughout under Alex Solis as the 11-10 favorite in the seven-furlong Dogwood for her third victory from four career starts. She will remain stabled at Churchill with Hollendorfer’s staff in the Steve Asmussen barn.
